Their trousers are dirty, on one of the men fallen around his knees. They appear to be crawling in the direction of a rainbow, an ancient symbol for God the Father.\r\n\r\nNarcisse Tordoir sees Tala Madani in the present exhibition as an apt counterpart to Walid al Shami, an Iraqi artist from the Barjeel collection. Al Shami paints only women. Tala Madani ging samen met Narcisse Tordoir naar de etsen van Tiepolo kijken in het prentenkabinet van het Amsterdamse Rijksmuseum en koos dit grafische schilderij werk op basis daarvan.
