This loose group of individuals\u0026nbsp;reacted against the rigid policies of the city\u0026rsquo;s\u0026nbsp;Museum of Fine Art, focusing primarily on social\u0026nbsp;and ecological issues. VAGA declared, for instance, via a manifesto and a non-violent occupation\u0026nbsp;with a sit-in on 23 June 1968, that it\u0026nbsp;wanted Conscienceplein, a square in Antwerp,\u0026nbsp;to become a car-free zone.
