° 1962
Born in Tel Aviv (), lives in Berlin ().
Eran Schaerf's work only features a few constant factors, but textiles and cloth are almost always present as material. Apart from that, subjects concerning (forms of) language and its dual concept, linguistic skill and translation are part of his main recurring items.
This continuous lingering on the borders of change leads to a complex body of work that constantly strikes new ground, yet at the same time continues to recycle older elements in the same consistent way. In doing so, it can take on the most varied forms.
