George Barber is an experimental video artist who helped established the Scratch video movement in England in the 1980s. Scratch Video utilised the editing technology of the day to sample from mainstream film and television, giving them new rhythms and patterns though collage. Barber also experimented with making music videos using the then new 3D image-making software, including for Belgian house-music producer Pascal Gabriel.
