Jean-Christophe Norman lives and works in Besançon, France and around the world. Recent exhibitions and performances include the Van Abbemuseum, FRAC Franche-Comté, FRAC Paca, Centre Dürrenmatt Neuchâtel, Fondation Michalski, Far Nyons, Biennlae de Belleville, Musée des arts décoratifs de Paris, Musée National Picasso-Paris, Wyspa Foundation Palerme, Phnom Penh and Alternativa Gdansk. He has an upcoming solo exhibition at Québec Biennal, as well as other planned shows in Tokyo, Hiroshima and Nantes. He undertook a long-term project for three years, Ulysses, a Long Way, which consists of rewriting Ulysses in its entirety in a single and continuous line written on the ground of cities he visits around the world: Tokyo, Marseille, Phnom Penh, Palerme, Gdansk, Paris, etc.
