Laura Edbrook
Lives in Glasgow (United Kingdom).
Laura Edbrook is an artist, writer and editor, exhibiting, publishing and contributing to a broad range of national and international platforms including, Printed Matter (New York), 2HB (Glasgow), Collective (Edinburgh), The Changing Room (Stirling) and Material Press (forthcoming limited edition). She has been selected for the Edinburgh Sculpture Workshop Creative Initiative Residency (2011—12) in collaboration with Ailsa Lochhead and New Work Scotland (2010). Degree less Noon, a letterpress novel co-written with Ailsa Lochhead, was published by Edinburgh Sculpture Workshop in 2012. She is the co-editor of MAP, a Glasgow-based publisher and producer of visual art and writing (2011—present). Laura is a Visual Culture lecturer on the MFA at Edinburgh College of Art and a visiting lecturer in the Forum for Critical Inquiry at The Glasgow School of Art. She is currently a PhD candidate at Glasgow University (College of Arts Scholarship) where she practices and studies Artwriting with a particular focus on the agency of the author in proximity with the art object. She doesn’t own a Bowflex Revolution® Home Gym.
