M HKA gaat digitaal

M HKA goes digital

Embracing the possibilities of new media, M HKA is making a particular effort to share its knowledge and give art the framework it deserves.

We are currently focusing on the experience in the museum with this application for smartphones and tablets. In the future this will also lead to a versatile desktop version, which is now still in its construction phase.

° 1928

Born in Bad Laasphe, Province of Westphalia (Germany).

Otto Piene, with Heinz Mack, publishes the review Zero (three issues) starting in 1958. The name Zero was also chosen as a collective name when the above pair was joined by Günther Uecker for joint exhibitions. Piene shows monochrome works in the Hessenhuis – yellow or white, with a halo in stippled relief around a nucleus. The dynamic vibration induced by this painting as well, signifies for the artist a definitive leave-taking from any sort of content that is not pure energy.
