Syd Krochmalny

Syd Krochmalny is an Argentinian artist, curator, writer, researcher, musician and Professor of Arts and Sociology. His multimedia work (writings, paintings, videos, installations, performances, sculptures, music, animation, curation, etc.) has been exhibited at the Reina Sofia Museum, Harvard University, David Rockefeller Center,  the Malba, the Americas Society, Cultural Center of Memory Haroldo Conti, Remembrance Park, University of Oslo, Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro, MAC de Niterol, Pinacoteca San Pablo, The University of Edinburgh, Museum of Contemporary Art in Buenos Aires, and the Guggenheim, among others.

Syd was a part of several magazine projects including editor of the magazine and subsequent book, ramona, co-founder and editor of the magazine, Jennifer, and co-founder and editor of the CIA magazine for the, Center for Artistic Research (CIA), an Art Masters Program in Buenos Aires.

Syd has published seven books including two books this year; Crypto Currency and Sovereignty, as well as, ramona, debates in the art at the edge of the millennium.​

Recently Syd has been exploring the empowering economic capabilities of NFT's for artists around the world. Most recently Syd showed his NFT series at the SXSW conference in Austin, Texas, and curated the NFT gallery at Wisdome Art Park for the NFTLA conference in Los Angeles, California. Syd is the director of Barro NY.
