The international renowned American artist James Lee Byars has a remarkable relationship with the M HKA.
From the seventies onward he worked closely together with former director Flor Bex on numerous exhibitions and projects, the works we have in our collection are witnesses of this. Byars is also the artist behind the smallest and the biggest work in the museum.
The three objects below will guide you through the exhibitions, performances and projects that James Lee Byars undertook during his periods of stay in Antwerp.
