M HKA gaat digitaal

M HKA goes digital

Embracing the possibilities of new media, M HKA is making a particular effort to share its knowledge and give art the framework it deserves.

We are currently focusing on the experience in the museum with this application for smartphones and tablets. In the future this will also lead to a versatile desktop version, which is now still in its construction phase.

Exhibition: NEONLICHT #1 - Henri Chopin in het archief Paul De Vree

M HKA, Antwerp

30 March 2012 - 27 April 2011

NEONLICHT [NEON LIGHT] is a series of presentations, where each month a crucial actor from the world of concrete, sonore and visual poetry is exposed. This is done on the basis of documents from the archive of poet-critic-publisher [PAUL DE VREE](http://ensembles.mhka.be/actors/paul-de-vree) (1909-1982). The series, which is part of a research project by art historian Johan Pas, will culminate this year in an archive exhibition and a publication whereof De Vree's own poetic, visual and critical output is brought in dialogue to that of the most prominent figures from his neo-avant-garde network. The first episode of NEONLICHT [NEON] shows documents and publications of [Henri Chopin](http://ensembles.mhka.be/actors/henri-chopin) including the manifesto 'La révolution sera inspirée ou ne sera pas' (s.d., s.p., Parijs, mei-juni 1968) and some numbers of ['Revue OU/Cinquième Saison'](http://ensembles.mhka.be/ensembles/revue-ou-cinquieme-saison). Through Michel Seuphor, the Antwerp avant-gardist exiled in Paris, Paul De Vree comes into contact with Henri Chopin in 1962. This meeting resulted in a close cooperation and brought De Vree's magazine 'De Tafelronde' definitively on the trail of the concrete and sound poetry.
