A Library of Congress study also states that a vinyl record will last for approximately 100 years, meaning this \u0026lsquo;old\u0026rsquo; format will probably last longer than those that succeeded it, such as CDs, digital files and hard drives. The work considers the personal obsessions for collecting items, particularly those that have a value within niche communities, such as vinyl records in music subculture.
