Libera Me, Santa Barbara I & II, Dietvorsts only 16mm film so far, focuses on Saint Barbara, the patron saint of the miners. What would Saint Barbara look like today and is it possible to create a new myth around her? Can we create a form of solidarity across generations and cultures? Dietvorst uses these questions as a starting point for her residence in Genk.
