In the video De Freule en de Gladiool, Hedwig Houben documents the various emotions her parents-in-law experience after they have taken on the task of living together with a work of art. Houben places a plasticine doormat in their house and supplies them with absurd brooms, so they can maintain the work; the latter are called Mistress and Gladiola.
