The Artist's Novel. The Novel as a Medium in the Visual Arts - Part II : The Fantasy of the Novel

Return to media overview
Media: Ola, Moreau, Ramona

Series of wall paintings, 220x150 cm each, approx. Biennale Warszawa, 2019.
This group of images is a site-specific project for Biennale Warszawa. They have been extracted from the illustrations that David Maroto made for his research novel The Fantasy of the Novel. Each of them is accompanied by a framed excerpt from the novel, which contextualises the images in the common narrative they belong to. Spiralling movements, dance, and twisted banisters are the visual and narrative motifs that connect the three paintings.
