Literary synopsis

The bachelor Roderick Ponto da Ponte lives in the Sicilian castle of his forefathers. All alone, he sits in his lavishly painted putti dining room, moody because his cook has scheduled a salad for dinner, and Roderick Ponto da Ponte doesn't like salad. Then his eye falls on a mourning letter next to his plate. He reads that, in a lowland to the north of the world map, Aunt Louise has confused the temporary with the eternal. The last scion of the Ponto da Ponte family travels with death on their heels.
Niets te vieren is baroque, opulent, exuberant, warm-blooded, colorful and colorful, and incredibly funny.
