Taus Makhacheva combined a dedication to our shared past with the precariousness of today. For On the Benefits of Pyramids in Cultural Education, Strengthening of National Consciousness, and the Formation of Moral and Ethical Guideposts (2015) she researched acrobat traditions and asked an acrobat group to make every night a human pyramid, a small human mountain. Not only that, she also asked them to activate at the same moment the masterpieces of the museum of Makhacheva, capital of her native Dagestan. This performance took place at exactly the same time in Kyiv, the brother city of Moscow.
