Mijn geaardheid naar interiorisatie en Chinese kunst komt misschien wel door/langs de keramiek en het porselein waarvan de monochromen toch wel het hoogtepunt zijn. Ik trachtte zowel in de keramiek als in mijn schilderijen een soort ‘essentie’ te bereiken die buiten het vormelijke ligt. Het probleem ‘binnenvorm die buitenvorm wordt’ heb ik ook daar opgelost door een vorm middendoor gesneden andersom aan elkaar te plakken, Walter Van Ermen bezit dat voorwerp.
