In this image Marshall portrays himself in his studio, leaning back in a chair whilst observing a painting he is working on. The painting is [*7am Sunday Morning*](http://ensembles.mhka.be/items/3560), a street scene in the Bronzeville neighborhood of Chicago's South Side, close to Marshall’s studio.
