It should be every museum’s ambition to develop its institutional intelligence and its understanding of art. In this book M HKA elaborates a vision of its role in four sections. A theoretical framework is introduced, with notions such as ‘ensembles’, ‘thinking-in-ensembles’, ‘thinkingin-action’ and ‘art hypothesis’. Some case studies show how these might function in practice. M HKA is developing the ‘Ensembles’ software that makes it possible to format complex visual and textual content as ensembles.
