Here, it was not so much the actors' performances as the many corny visual effects, the 'digital trickery,' that provided for a flamboyant spectacle of bizarre collages and visual gags. The actors compliantly submit to all sorts of effects, mainly borrowed from animation films: often they find themselves being stretched, squashed or completely deformed. \r\n\r\nIn *Couple*, we have a glaringly dressed duo, that simultaneously tries to get through the same toilet door, and manages to do so seamlessly. By way of a gradual metamorphosis (digital morphing), the two bodies melt into a geometric block whose dimensions perfectly fit the door's opening. This process of amalgamation and transformation is also underscored by the film title: *the corpus callosum* is the bridge between the brain's left and right hemispheres. De acteurs onderwerpen zich gedwee aan allerlei effecten, die aan de animatiefilm zijn ontleend: ze worden veelvuldig uitgerekt, geplet of compleet vervormd. \r\n\r\nZo toont *Couple* een schreeuwlelijk gekleed koppeltje dat probeert om simultaan door dezelfde deuropening van een toilet te passeren en daar ook naadloos in slaagt. Door een snelle metamorfose (digitale morphing) smelten de twee lichamen samen in een geometrisch blok dat qua afmetingen perfect past in de deur. Dat proces van samenkomen en transformeren wordt ook benadrukt met de titels: het *'corpus callosum'*, de hersenbalk, zorgt namelijk voor de verbinding tussen de twee hersenhelften. Ce ne sont pas les performances d’acteurs qui assurent le spectacle composé de collages étranges et de gags visuels haut en couleur, mais les multiples effets visuels désuets, la « ruse numérique ». Les acteurs se soumettent docilement à plusieurs effets empruntés au film d’animation : ils sont étirés, écrasés ou entièrement déformés à plusieurs reprises.\r\n\r\nAinsi, *Couple* montre un jeune couple affublé d’oripeaux criards qui tente de passer simultanément par la même porte des toilettes et qui y parvient sans problème : par une métamorphose rapide (technique du morphing numérique) les deux corps se fondent en un bloc géométrique dont les dimensions correspondent parfaitement à celles de la porte. Le processus de fusion et de transformation est accentué par le titre du film *Corpus Callosum* : le corps calleux relie les deux hémisphères du cerveau.
