Not only does he liberate this material from its invisible position, he also redeems it from its limited function. Suddenly the material acquires unexpected, elegant characteristics, and a new form of writing comes into being. \r\n\r\nWhereas on first sight his installations often seem like a disorderly amalgam of materials, on closer inspection we see that they are full of well-considered compositions and that there is an ordered chaos to be found in the details. The same elements often recur in different combinations as well.\r\n \r\nThe art practice of Honoré δ'O is not ponderous; rather it is light-footed and playfully subversive. As visitors, we are invited to play along with his game, and to free ourselves from habitual conventions of seeing too. Honoré δ'O activates our gaze: you can look at the work from various points of view, and along with a changing perspective, this invariably generates new meanings."},{"locale":"nl","short_description":"","description":"Voor de tentoonstelling creëert Honoré δ'O een muurtekening waarbij hij een prominente rol geeft aan materiaal dat doorgaans juist weggewerkt wordt achter een laag gips: grijze pvc buizen. Dezelfde elementen komen ook vaak terug in verschillende combinaties. \r\n\r\nHonoré δ'O’s kunst is niet zwaarwichtig, maar juist lichtvoetig en speels subversief. Als bezoeker word je uitgenodigd om het spel mee te spelen en zo ook je eigen conventies los te laten. Honoré δ'O activeert de blik: je kan het werk bekijken vanuit verschillende gezichtspunten, die telkens zorgen voor nieuwe betekenissen. Non seulement il libère ce matériel de son état d’invisibilité, mais de sa fonction restreinte aussi. Soudain, la matière acquiert des caractéristiques élégantes inattendues et une nouvelle forme d’écriture voit le jour.\r\n\r\nA priori, ses installations ressemblent à une multitude chaotique de matériaux, mais en prêtant plus d’attention, on se rend compte qu’il s’agit de compositions mûrement réfléchies et que ce chaos recèle un ordre précis de détails. Les mêmes éléments reviennent sous différentes combinaisons.\r\n\r\nL’art d’Honoré δ'On’est jamais pontifiant, mais toujours sensible, ludique et subversif. Le spectateur est invité à jouer le jeu et à lâcher ses propres conventions aussi.
