Kempenaers explores the layers of social reality. He approaches his subjects analytically and with technical precision. Brussels depicts the European Parliament’s chamber in Brussels. In contrast to the images of a packed chamber full of important people that usually appear in the media, Kempenaers depicts an empty, cold space that exudes a bleak atmosphere.
