M HKA gaat digitaal

M HKA goes digital

Embracing the possibilities of new media, M HKA is making a particular effort to share its knowledge and give art the framework it deserves.

We are currently focusing on the experience in the museum with this application for smartphones and tablets. In the future this will also lead to a versatile desktop version, which is now still in its construction phase.

For a number of pieces in his poesia visiva De Vree also drew on other means besides photography, cuttings and drawings. In Honger the eponymous word is painted in white acrylic on a piece of sandpaper; the letters are formed using various bones from the human skeleton. With these sparse and simple means he evokes a provocative image of the harrowing famines in developing countries. The poem was enlarged and put on canvas by means of a photographic process.
