M HKA gaat digitaal

M HKA goes digital

Embracing the possibilities of new media, M HKA is making a particular effort to share its knowledge and give art the framework it deserves.

We are currently focusing on the experience in the museum with this application for smartphones and tablets. In the future this will also lead to a versatile desktop version, which is now still in its construction phase.

In the poesia visiva, De Vree also continued to make use of various techniques like those employed in his concrete and visual poetry. Kissinger is a purely graphic work. The name of the American politician is split into ‘kiss’ and ‘singer’. The poem further consists of a drawn Singer sewing machine on top of which the word ‘kiss’ is written in large letters. With a nod to Paul Van Ostaijen’s famous poem Homage to Singer, De Vree here delivers a critique of the sharp and sometimes painful or bitter kiss with which US foreign policy enters into relationships with Europe and other countries.
