Died in Vilvoorde (Belgium), born in Diegem (Belgium).
Victor Servranckx is an atypical representative of abstract art in Belgium; he applies no prescriptions from the past and cuts his own path from the start. His compositions of abstracted figurative elements are akin to French purism. In circles that staunchly resisted the encroachment of abstract art, his work was appreciated for its expression of modern times in all its facets - portraying a world that stood under the stamp of mechanization, and this in an elegant manner.
