M HKA gaat digitaal

M HKA goes digital

Embracing the possibilities of new media, M HKA is making a particular effort to share its knowledge and give art the framework it deserves.

We are currently focusing on the experience in the museum with this application for smartphones and tablets. In the future this will also lead to a versatile desktop version, which is now still in its construction phase.

By placing panels at right angles, Tordoir forces the viewer into another manner of seeing. Mentally and physically, a concept must be formed from a combination of all given elements. The work is physically and mentally built up from several layers, and cannot be fully taken in by a single glance. The meaning is not literally readable. The 'meaning' of the artwork is not created according to linguistic principles of sentence structure. Image and language are two different systems of relating to reality.
